Jon Rahm will no longer play in the 2026 Open de España presented by Madrid 2026. The Spaniard has dropped out of the event at the last minute and will no longer be part of the spectacular field gathering at Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
Rahm, a three-time Open de España champion, was originally announced as one of the big names at a tournament that is bringing together international superstars like Justin Rose, Ludvig Aberg, Patrick Reed, Shane Lowry, Sergio García and Bubba Watson, as well as a healthy Spanish contingent.
The tournament begins on Thursday and will come to its conclusion on Sunday, when Marco Penge’s successor will sit atop the leaderboard.
We’ll miss you, Jon! We hope to see you back next year.
