England’s Tyrrell Hatton, one of the men of the moment on LIV Golf Tour, and a member of the Legion XIII team captained by Jon Rahm, has confirmed his will be in the field at the Open de España presented by Madrid at Club de Campo from 8 to 11 October.

The recent champion of LIV Golf Andalucia at Valderrama, where Jon Rahm himself finished second, Tyrrell Hatton once again showed off the golfing prowess that makes him a contender every time he tees it up.
The title came as no surprise; Hatton frequently finds himself in the winners’ circle and is one of those rare players capable of producing spectacular golf on any course and in any situation.
He has proved it many times on the DP World Tour, where is particularly fond of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, an event he has won no fewer than three times (2016, 2017, 2024).
The 2017 Italian Open (Rolex Series), the 2019 Turkish Airlines Open (Rolex Series) – where he won a six-man playoff –, the 2020 BMW PGA Championship (Rolex Series), where he established himself among the elite on Europe’s premier tour, the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (Rolex Series) and the 2025 Dubai Desert Classic all adorn a sparkling trophy cabinet that also includes two LIV Golf Tour titles, from Nashville in 2024 and Andalucia in 2026, and one on the PGA Tour, the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
His dazzling career also includes four Ryder Cup appearances, in 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2025, contributing to three European victories and claiming no fewer than 8 points in total, with a special mention for two unbeaten appearances – claiming 3-5 points from 4 matches twice – in Rome 2023 and New York 2025.
A player recognisable for the visible intensity with which he approaches the game, Tyrrell Hatton’s presence at the tournament is sure to prove a huge draw for the fans.
